It is white,sweet and toxic powder with specific gravity of 6.94.It can dissolve in hydrochloric acid and nitric acid,but not in water.It will become grey or black at about 200°c and even to yellow at 450°c,but in a good reductibility.As an antioxidant,it has excellent performance of resistance to ultraviolet ray,cold,and ageing.
